Verify your email settings are correct
Verify that your email settings are correct by following the steps below.
There are many different email clients out there, so the steps below may or may not be exactly the steps you need to take. Refer to your email client’s Help menu for more specific instructions.
In Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 and earlier versions of Outlook:
- Start Outlook.
- On the Tools menu, click to select E-mail Accounts.
- In the E-mail Accounts dialog box, click to select the View or change existing e-mail accounts option, and then click Next.
- Select your Barral Institute email account and click Change.
- In the E-mail Accounts dialog box, confirm all your settings are correct and then click on More Settings.
- In the Internet E-mail Settings dialog box, click on the Outgoing Server tab and confirm that there is a check in the box next to My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. Also make sure the radio button is selected next to Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
- Click the OK button. Then click the Next > button. And finally, click the Finish button.
