Patient Symptoms

Chronic abdominal pain after two abdominal surgeries. Difficulty getting out of bed, leaning over, going down stairs.

Evaluation / Treatment

Five treatments over six weeks. Evaluation showed pulls at scar lines and pull to very old appendix scar, as well as restriction in greater omentum (it was stuck in upper left quadrant to peritoneum) and surrounding structures, including area of colon where resection was performed.

Outcome

Patient able to go off medications for pain. 80% reduction in pain (and therapist was invited to speak at grand rounds of her doctor!)
